In an industry that is steeped in tradition, we are forging our own path. This is based on the belief that not everything was better in “the good old days”, that the law can be made more transparent and presented in a better way, that payment models can and will be reviewed and challenged, that new technology is there to be used, and that business law can and will therefore represent the interests of people and businesses – not lawyers. So simple, yet so challenging – that is our big idea!
Morris Law is a Swedish law firm that believes that business law can be at least as progressive, quick-thinking and human as its surroundings. In nine years, we have grown to over 70 employees, with 14 partners. Most of our senior staff has a background within the leading law firms in the Nordic region, such as Mannheimer Swartling and Setterwalls. In March of 2023 we were named “Law firm of the year” in the Swedish national ranking of law firms and several of our partners are ranked by the international ranking institutes such as Chambers and Legal500. Also, we have on several occasions been named the most modern firm of the year.
We conduct our business through a company with three offices, one in Stockholm, one in Gothenburg and one on Öckerö. The work within the firm is fully integrated between the offices and based on a true-partnership model. Our practice groups all have members who are based in the three offices, which enables local presence.
Our key word and our idea are as simple as they are difficult: “Let’s rethink business law”. In an industry laden with traditions, we choose our own path. Convinced that nothing was better before. Assured that the law can be made easier to understand. Packaged nicer. Payment models can and should be reconsidered. Challenged. New technology is there to be used. Business law can and should therefore be for people and business – not for lawyers.
Our approach to advice extends beyond the day-to-day handling of legal issues. We work continuously to set up safe and efficient work processes and compliance routines for the unique client organization. Our goal with this is for our clients to be able to put our advice into practice in as smooth a way as possible. Law and compliance must contribute to business benefit, not to bureaucracy. As a further step in this work, we have developed various types of digital support that our client organizations can take part in, and which also make it easier for clients in their internal work and management.
