Australasian Law Awards 2018

Congratulations to John Wakefield, winner, Australasian Law Awards 2018 Australian Arbitrator of the Year Holman Webb is proud to announce that John Wakefield was awarded Australian Arbitrator of the Year in the Australasian Law Awards 2018. John is the Chairman of Holman Webb Lawyers and also leads the firm’s Dispute Resolution Group in Sydney. He is a fellow and past president of the Australian branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a fellow of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration. He is also a member of the arbitration panel of the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration. In 2017 John was elected to the Board of Trustees of CIArb as member for Australasia. Since 2016 he has been chair of the board of the Australian Disputes Centre.

Lorenzo Schiano di Pepe appointed to the board of Italian Flight Safety Agency

On 22 December 2017 Lorenzo Schiano di Pepe has been appointed, by Decree of the Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, to the board of the Italian Agency for Flight Safety (Agenzia Nazionale per la Sicurezza del Volo – ANSV). The relevant press release of the Italian Government can be found here. ANSV is the investigative authority for aviation safety of the Republic of Italy, established pursuant to European Community Directive 94/56/EC later replaced by Regulation (EU) No. 996/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 October 2010.
